When Chimaira released their sophomore effort for Roadrunner Records, The Impossibility Of Reason, in May of 2003, it marked both the end of a journey and the beginning of a new one. Over the past year and a half, the band has toured with some of the biggest names in metal, played Ozzfest, shot three videos (two of which did not end in a fiery blaze), gone through three drummers and fought illness, English thugs and one another to come out smiling some 125,000 albums later. The Dehumanizing Process is this period of time caught on video. It is a feature-length film of a band trying to hold onto their sanity and a dream; along with almost an hour of performance footage captured live around the world.
Also included in this package is the This Present Darkness EP. This is the EP that got Chimaira signed to Roadrunner and turned over 10,000 fans onto this band before any label came onto the scene. The EP comes complete with bonus tracks and new liner notes compliments of the lead singer, Mark Hunter.
Live, raw, uncut and as brutally honest as their music, The Dehumanizing Process is a must-have for Chimaira fans and fans of metal everywhere.
