19th Century Korea. After a large shipment of paper, bound for the mainland, goes up in flames, it soon becomes apparent that it was an act of arson. Won-kyu, an experienced detective, is dispatched to the island to investigate, but soon finds himself faced with tales of superstition from terrified locals.
