A young woman who is plagued by visions of ghosts eventually seeks the help of a psychiatrist - Jim, who helps her realise that they are simply manifestations of her own repressed psyche. After embarking on a relationship with each other, Jim himself begins to start seeing ghosts specifically that of a teenage girl he once wronged. As he begins to fall apart as he is pushed toward taking his own life. Jim must find a way to put both himself and the ghost at peace.
The film's star, Leslie Cheung was one of Asia's biggest stars before his suicide just a year after completing this film. The fact that this was his last performance coupled with the film's subject matter make Inner Senses a truly unforgettable picture.
