Five-year-old Danny is called on in an emergency to help deliver a baby in a small American town. Fast forward twenty-five years and Danny (Law) is back in America after growing up in England. The tiny baby he delivered, Anna, has grown up to become a beautiful young woman (Gretchen Mol - Sweet and Lowdown). Romantic and lovestruck, Danny feels that he is destined to marry Anna. But there's one problem: she's already engaged and not interested in the newcomer at all.
Convinced that they were made for each other, Danny's feelings for Anna soon transform her entire family.
