They were supposed to be a crack undercover team hand-picked by DI Beach to snare one of Britain's most powerful crime lords. Supremely confident of their success, he brought in a fly-on-the-wall documentary team to film their triumphs. Unfortunately the team manages to bungle and botch every aspect of the operation.

Series Two found docu-soap stars, Beach and his hopeless team, reunited for "controlled" showcase operations - from traffic calming in Camberwell to perfume scams on the Costa Del Sol. But as the Good Guys struggle with the pressures of celebrity - nothing seems to go to plan.

By Series Three, fame has gone to their heads. They appear on the front of magazines and demand their own Christmas show, complete with 'props' from their latest drugs bust. While, back at the station, Beach and his team add to the anarchy in a sorry tale of wrongful arrest, screwed-up surveillance, dodgy accounting and a visit from the - code-named - Jubilee Family.
