Thomas has been estranged from his gay brother, Luc, for years, but when he is diagnosed with a potentially fatal blood disorder, he turns up on his doorstep asking for help.
Luc agrees to accompany him at the hospital where, despite tests, medication, injections and even surgery, the doctors seem unable to halt Thomas' painful decline.
Luc's boyfriend, all too aware of how Thomas has treated Luc in the past, finds it difficult to accept Luc's sibling dedication and the bond between them also begins to painfully decline.
Cutting backwards and forwards in time between wintry Paris and summery Brittany, the fraternal relationship develops and gains strength as all hope and life appears to drain out of Thomas.
