This is the story of Saul of Tarsus, a Roman citizen, who believes in the resurrection and gospel of Jesus following his legendary conversion on the road to Damascus. This stunning new version is directed by Emmy award-winner Roger Young who also directed both Jesus and Joseph in The Bible series from Time Life.

As Saul becomes Paul, he sets out on his mission to take the gospel of Jesus throughout the known world and into Rome but he is pursued by his one-time friend Ruben, who now wishes him dead. This sumptuous three-hour film brings to life the missions of the first century and of Paul's travels throughout Asia Minor, Macedonia, Antioch and the Roman Empire.

Paul is beautifully acted by Johannes Brandrup and the internationally-renowned cast includes Thomas Lockyer (Henry VIII, Peak Practice), G W Bailey (The Bible-Jesus, Mash, Police Academy films), Franco Nero (The Bible-David, Force 10 From Navarone) and veteran Jack Hedley (Lawrence of Arabia, Colditz, Goodbye Mr Chips).
