Max Parry wants to kill you. No, it's not that you've done anything to deserve it, he's simply trying to make a point.
A wedding photographer by day, Max is determined to direct an intelligent film about murder and confront his audience with an intense exploration of the mind of a homicidal maniac. However, it's not long before he bloodies the line between fiction and reality by actually snuffing out the victims himself. Using a teen terror video rental tape as the master copy of his film to lure his next victim, he invites them to watch and then punishes them for their voyeurism.
In the tradition of Henry: A Portrait of a Serial Killer and Man Bites Dog, The Last Horror Movie is a video diary that makes for disturbing viewing, as Max blithely carries out his despicable acts. Max questions the viewer's complicity in his actions, while the question on the viewer's mind soon becomes: "will I be next?"
