Based on the fantastic novel by Jules Verne, The Light at the Edge of the World captures the incredible excitement and awe of the original story. Starring Kirk Douglas as Will Denton, the keeper of the lighthouse located at the tip of South America, happily escaping the perils of a life until the island is savagely attacked by a ship full of bloodthirsty pirates, led by the venomous Captain Kongre (Yul Brynner).
