The story follows the remarkable relationship between Vincent Van Gogh and his brother Theo as the struggling painter fights to make his mark in the world of art. The Dutch artist's works have commanded record prices and surpassed all sales records in recent years - but the tortured Van Gogh sold only one painting in his lifetime and committed suicide at the age of 37. His little-known brother, Theo, was Vincent's only real friend and provided the moral and financial support which made all his paintings possible.
