Life is about to change for Brett Bumpers, Martin Van Buren High School's resident brainiac. Out of the blue he receives a mysterious package, a talisman, and the power to make three wishes. Disbelieving at first, his first wish is for Samantha the school's beauty, to be his date at the upcoming school dance. The second wish - for Samantha to fall in love with him. Miraculously, both come true.

But having been awakened by Brett' innocent, unwitting meddling, unseen forces begin plying their dark malevolence, methodically and viciously torturing and mutilating members of the senior class... with the ultimate target of their the destruction appearing to be Samantha.

As Brett races to overwhelm the desperate curse which he has unleashed upon his town. He must decide whether to use his last wish to turn the dark power of the sinister force upon himself and discover the talisman's origins or use it protect the woman he loves from succumbing to a terrible fate.
