As all the travellers, man and wolf, finish their recollections of the journey thus far - we are left with the aftermath at Darcia's keep. With Kiba nowhere to be found, Hubb, Cher, Blue and Cheza all captured by Jaguara and Quent missing - Hige, Tsume and Toboe are all left lost and confused. They begin one final search for Kiba before giving up only to meet an Indian tribe that believes wolves exist and seem to know a lot about Paradise...
With their help they are able to find Kiba - though his soul had been stolen! Will he be willing to leave the peaceful place his soul is in to continue the long, weary journey towards Rakuen?
