Fred Wilson a magnate from Petroz Oil, and Jack Prescott, a counter-culture paleontologist, are sailing to an unexplored island. On their way they find Dawn on a rescue boat in the middle of nowhere. Once on the island they find local natives worshiping a huge gorilla called Kong. The natives abduct dawn to offer her in sacrifice to the beast, but Wilson and Prescott capture the gorilla and take him to New York for exhibition, where he escapes and brings panic trying to find his love again.
