American photojournalist Charlie Palmer reports the tragedies of war through a naked camera lens, while Dr Victor Davies relieves the pain of the sick and injured with only the bare necessities. Somewhere near the Afghanistan/Pakistan border, P.O.W.'s are caught in a brutal war with no winners. When their captors let down their guard, a window to rebellion and escape is opened.
Palmer and Davis suddenly find themselves witness to a violent insurrection where the lines between friends, allies, deserters, warriors and ethnicity's are blurred and smashed. Storming their captors, they seize control of the camp and barricade themselves in! While Davis attends to the wounded and dying, Palmer weaves in and out of the bloodshed with his camera capturing every moment of heroism, betrayal and confusion. So begins their battle to escape from Afghanistan.
