After years of separation, Dave (Matt Long) returns to the hometown he long abandoned to face old friends and lost loves.

His best friends, Emily (Emmanuelle Chriqui, Entourage) and Brian (Luke Mably, 28 Days Later), are now married. When he decides to stay at home for a while, the sexual tension between Dave and Emily surfaces once again. Hearing rumours that Brian is violent and an alcoholic, Dave becomes convinced that Emily is trapped in an abusive relationship.

Soon, Dave begins a heated affair with Emily. When he receives a frantic call from her, Dave shows up at Emily's house to find Brian standing over her. Dave attacks Brian and in the ensuing fight, Brian falls down the stairs and is instantly killed. Emily convinced Dave to leave; she'll claim it was an accident, an act of pure self defence.

But when Dave returns home and finds an envelope full of compromising pictures of Emily and himself, he soon learns that he's not the only one Emily is having a torrid affair with and that not everyone is as they appear to be.
